After an 11 hour drive Ron (who was extremely freindly on the phone even allowing me to delay the motel a day on short notice) upgraded me to his biggest room since no one had booked it yet. The room was massive. I was able to park my car right outside the window. Additionally the food was fantastic in the areas nearby. He recommended this coffee shop which was run out of what looked like an old auto shop. Best breakfast sandwich I have had in a very long time. Better then any breakfast sandwich I had in my 11 years in San Diego. While the general area may have looked a little run down, I still HIGHLY recommend this motel especially for long distance people who are in a bit of a logistics bind. It felt easy and safe. This while I was traveling with birds. Many motels/hotels dont allow birds even when the allow cats and dogs so I was extremely grateful for this."

It is a very typical locally owned route 66 motor hotel in very good condition. Owner was friendly and super helpful, I felt like he knew all the good spots in this small town, with recommendations for food, shopping and laundry. The small locAl restaurant he highly recommended was amazing and it's not something I would have tried otherwise. Motel was per friendly, their office cat was adorable, and the room was comfortable. Tv, fridge, hot water all worked well. Motel was quiet (be aware there is a train but nowhere in town is far from it) and well insulated. Room heater (visited in the middle of winter) was older then me but was well maintained And worked well. I would absolutely stay here again, either for business or out of pocket."

Great recommendations for all over Grants. It's a pet friendly hotel as well, our cat was very happy to stay here. We will definitely be staying here in the future, and could possibly be our go-to motel for when we drive across the country."
