"Perfect Chicago Hotel!!! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would absolutely return. The location is fantastic — surrounded by great restaurants and within easy walking distance to the Magnificent Mile, Cloud Gate, the Riverwalk, and even Navy Pier. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient. Our room featured beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views, which really elevated the experience. The bed was very comfortable, everything was spotless, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the service. ARIANA and the rest of the staff at the front desk, along with the chat supervisor, went above and beyond to make sure our requests were handled quickly and thoughtfully. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for its location, comfort, views, and especially its outstanding staff."

"I gotta say, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chicago Downtown/River North really surprised me in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much, but man, this place was solid. From the second I walked in, the vibe was chill and the staff were super cool. No attitude, no fake smiles—just genuinely nice people who actually try to help you out. Anything I needed, they handled it quick. My room was way bigger than I thought it would be. Clean as hell, too. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spotless, and everything just felt fresh. Housekeeping did their thing every day and honestly did a really good job—new towels, room cleaned up properly, trash taken out… not that lazy “quick wipe” job you see in a lot of hotels. Breakfast was actually decent, which I wasn’t expecting. Usually hotel breakfasts are kinda sad, but here it was solid—fresh stuff, warm food, enough variety to not feel like you're eating the same thing every day. For what I paid, it was definitely worth it. And the location? Perfect. Right in River North, close to everything. You can walk pretty much anywhere—food, coffee, shops, all that. I didn’t have to drive around hunting for stuff, which was a huge plus. Honestly, for the price, this place is a steal. Big clean rooms, good breakfast, super friendly staff, and a location you really can’t beat. No complaints whatsoever. I’d 100% stay here again and definitely recommend it if you’re trying to be in a good spot in Chicago without spending crazy money."

"Does this place "deserve" 5 stars? Idk. I didn't want to rate it that high, but if I'm being honest all of the complaints I wanna mention are a "Chicago" problem, not a problem with this hotel in particular. It was expensive, but for the area, it was on the low side. The room was on the small side, especially for the price..... but probably not for Chicago. However, there were some things they did well, even for Chicago. Parking was included, in the same build (more or less) and most importantly, easy to deal with. (Also included in the room cost) The location was close to the things we needed it to be. The breakfast was a pretty standard hotel breakfast where the offered a few hot items. They did have a chorizo sausage that is worth mentioning. If you're staying here because you need a hotel room downtown, it's gonna suit your needs, and the price is better than most."

"Stayed for 4 nights whilst running the marathon - so value was OK whilst still paying crazy prices for the style of hotel. Room looked recently modernised with really nice simple modern look, massive TV, decent coach/pullout and a comfortable bed. Weirdly the only part of the room not updated was the shower tray - made no difference but did stand out. Quality of room great for the hotel standard. Breakfast (at most) functional - but a bit too full of processed food for my tastes. Microwave and fridge in the room great - but remember to bring your own crockery etc. Great location in River North just over the bridge from the loop and walkable close to lots of decent bars and restaurants - or a few blocks from a couple of L stations. My selections tend to be more price driven than anything else - but would be very happy to stay again next time I’m in Chicago."
