"Prepare to feel totally pampered when staying here. The rooms are delightful and have wonderful ambiance, one with a wood-burning fireplace and another with an electric fireplace. The beds are very comfortable and have the most luxuriously soft sheets. The rooms have the quaintness of olden times, with a claw foot bathtub and Tiffany lamps, but with all the modern amenities. The breakfasts are delicious and there are always freshly baked cookies and chocolate candies available to satisfy your sweet tooth. Max and Monica are great hosts and make everyone feel at home and truly spoiled."

"Wow, this place is amazing! This is by far the best service I have ever experienced at any place I've stayed, and the room was clean, wonderfully appointed, and comfortable. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies (gluten free for my husband!), provided with numerous dining recommendations, and shown around. The room was so comfortable that my husband and I opted to stay in all evening and have a romantic dinner at the table in our room with the fresh flowers that were in our "Lilly" room. My favorite part about the stay was the early morning room service of coffee and pastries that preceded breakfast, but breakfast was astounding in its own right! Custom souffles to meet our dietary restrictions, parfaits, and copious amounts of coffee were promptly served as we chatted with other guests. Max was an exceptional host and it would be a tragedy if you didn't stay here while visiting Flagstaff."

"My husband, adult daughter, and I stayed at Starlight Pines for five nights in May 2021. We have stayed at many B&Bs in various parts of the U.S. and in other countries, and we all agreed that it was by far the best experience we have ever had at a B&B. Maxx and Monica are extraordinarily friendly, outgoing, sweet, and knowledgeable hosts. They were available and answered our questions throughout the day, providing terrific guidance about restaurants, hiking trails, and other local attractions. And they are fabulous and versatile cooks! My husband and I are vegan and our daughter is vegetarian, and they provided us wonderful hearty breakfasts each day as well as treats to go with our morning coffee or to take on the trail. Starlight Pines is also a beautiful, well-maintained property with lovely rooms and welcoming common areas inside and on a large veranda. And it is well located, close to Flagstaff’s bustling and interesting downtown as well as many hiking trails. We recommend this B&B enthusiastically."

"This was the most wonderful experience my family and I had. My husband got back from the army for the holidays and we spent two days in Flagstaff. Max and Monica are the most warm, kind hosts and great company. They were so accommodating, the place was clean and cozy. The food was amazing. They told us about lot of cool things to do around. We had the most amazing stay, and we’ll be back for sure."

"The place is clean and conveniently located. Breakfast definitely hit the spot! The rooms are very tasteful and memorable- we stayed in the dragonfly room My main recommendation for the host is to be cautious of his talkativeness, be less chatty. Left a mixed experience for us. Not every guest wants to have a conversation with the B&B host extensively, or at length at every breakfast. We enjoyed talking to you, but please be conscious of this with guests to create space for them to enjoy morning solitude or just talk to the person they’re staying with, or other gets they’re trying to get to know. Keep the conversations short please :) Nonetheless a gem in Flagstaff!"
