2 years ago"I stayed her due to the good reviews and I'm glad I did! The room, though a bit dated, was squeaky clean and comfortable, which is the most important. The style is a nice flashback to a retro vibe which is cool, not everything needs to be 'modern' in order to be nice. I enjoyed my stay and customer service was top notch. Much better than any chain-motel around. Highly recommended!"

2 years ago"Driving for over 10 hours on the I-40, I wasn't expecting to stay at a hotel in Tucumcari, but as fate would have it, I ended up at the Sunset Inn. Nice people, Rama & Ray, and a clean and spacious room! While the decor is older, it feels like home. For the price, to get a safe, clean room with nice people taking care of you is something you don't find nowadays. Best place to stay on the I-40 for the price! Easy on and off from the 40 so you don't miss a beat."

4 years ago"Staff was super friendly and inviting! She was very helpful with giving town information on when local business close. The room was dated but nice. The ac wasn't working well so it was warm in the room. The bed was definitely extra firm but the sheets were clean and that's super important to me! They weren't serving breakfast as advertised due to covid but if they would serve some fruit or breakfast bars that would help. Also if they could update their website to say no longer serving breakfast that would help. I would definitely stay again!"

2 years ago"I stumbled on this place by pure accident, but I'm glad it was the only place with vacancies! The woman who was working the night shift was very accommodating and sweet, and her husband was just as hospitable when I checked out the next morning. The room itself was clean and cozy, it wasn't anything too elaborate but the bed was comfy enough. I will definitely be staying here again when I go back through Tucumcari."

2 years ago"Look, it might be old hotel. The owners are trying. They are good people. The rooms are very clean. I like the ones are still being run by mom an pops. That is far an few. I never had any complaints. I been broke down truck in shop. An, it's a good little place. It's quiet an comfy."
