Super 8 by Wyndham Albuquerque West/Coors Blvd

"I’m leaving an outstanding review because this hotel is a low cost option that truly serves its guests the best it possibly can, considering its low cost. It is located in the downtown area, everything is easy access. There is, I discovered, a free AIRPORT bus/shuttle #50 just 3 blocks away from this actual location!! I was so happy I checked! Nice very clean city funded bus designed for the airport, you don’t have to pay for an Uber. Also know there are scooters in the city to get around too. This is circa $60 night motel. I get annoyed when I see bad reviews from those expecting what a $160 night hotel provides. At this cost point, you’re getting a beautifully renovated room. All cable stations on the flat screen television.The bed was excellent, with pillow top, the layered mattress is extremely comfortable and firm, and linen is good, dense; it’s a very good night sleep. The family that runs and owns this motel is extremely communicative, kind, polite and safety oriented. They monitor all and care about their guests. The maids are kind! You are made to feel comfortable here. They serve a decent little breakfast, it’s a motel, not a hotel! Waffles and juices and cereals and toast, jam, butter, coffee, etc. included. You are close to the freeway, so it’s your call whether that’s OK for you. I did not have a problem hearing any freeway traffic, once I was in the room. I was actually shocked by that. There were festivities going on, Dia de los Muertos. I did hear some young people at night. Just a couple times for short moments, it was a time of celebration here. I had a conference to attend and I was busy all day. If you’re in Albuquerque, in my opinion, you should be outside enjoying New Mexico~ it is gorgeous, absolutely. It’s easy to zip around from where you are, at this location. We went to wonderful restaurants in the old town of Albuquerque, just a couple miles away, check out their restaurants. This is a great town to eat in. I chose to save money on my hotel. I indulged in other things, much more satisfying to be out and in the park areas hiking in the mountains. A half a mile further into downtown and you are paying double, triple this price per night. You can see that on any map. So if you don’t need a big fancy spacious hotel and all that. You have a focused, work trip, etc. You have fun planned, to be moving around all over the place. I would consider some of the well run low cost family owned, locally owned, really decent above and beyond board, motels in Albuquerque. I’m leaving a review because I was treated so well and I slept so well. I’m also leaving overview because I am concerned about my country and my countrymen, local businesses thriving, and using my voice and expressing value when I see it. We enjoyed car rentals, expensive dinners, incredible, margaritas, sightseeing, etc. by saving cost on our hotel. It was a pleasant surprise that I did not suffer from at all, far from it!"
