The location is great, its a small city and completely walkable. The Aztec is just down the street from several shops/little restaurants. 2. The facility is obviously historic, but they have done refreshes so that the rooms are updated, clean and comfortable, all while keeping the kitschy vibe! 3. They have what they call a "Creative Space" which was a great gathering space for our family! It has chairs, a kitchen, and a large dining table in front of a TV where we played movies and then played cards and shared food. 4. They also have a really cute gift shop that has a bunch of crafts & goods from local artisans. I'd highly recommend the Aztec next time you're in the area or passing through!"

The Creative Space (a communal area with a kitchenette, games, books, tables, a piano, and great Spotify playlists) was a fantastic surprise. There is so much information on Seligman, its history and its shops - we felt involved in this small and charming town! The room was spacious and clean. We were happy to find USB and USB-C ports which is a simple detail but makes a huge difference to foreign travelers! Breakfast was great. We were also impressed with the gift shop - great quality, local products and great prices too. Overall, a fantastic stay for a real Route 66 experience with an original and creative twist."

The first motel had a huge sign saying no pets so we went to the next motel. They had a vacancy sign on and yet they were full for the night. The Aztec was suggested to us. I must say as we pulled up I was a little hesitant because it is a small hotel. Sebastian checked us in and was very friendly. The Aztec Motel is pet friendly and does NOT charge extra. The lobby area has a 70's vibe and yet the rooms are brand new. Turns out Sebastian is the owner and he and his wife refurbished the hotel a few years ago. New everything, comfortable bed and a shower head that was above my head! I am 6 foot 1 and I loved standing under a hot shower. Small gift shop that is open by 7 am. It has great things. We ended up buying many unique things as gifts for friends. We are definitely coming back."

Thank you, Sebastian, for the warm welcome and great help. The beds are extremely comfortable. A place that truly adds something special to the Route 66 experience. PS: Feeling like a true film fan. Val Kilmer stayed here too!"
