a month ago"I genuinely do not know what everyone was complaining about (besides the issues with security and safety possibly) because we booked a room through the hotel, not a third party and it’s been great. We got a king room. 1: our bathroom is normal. It’s clean, nice, and can close the door if we wanted privacy. 2: the elevators are fine. They work quick and are fine. 3: no bugs. I checked the mattress throughly. I’m trained to know what to look for im a community home based social worker for 10 years now. 4: the mini fridge is located under the tvs inside of the stands, took us a minute to find. 5: we have a newer tv 6: we have a cool tablet for services and other things like suggestions of places to do and go check out. 7: the ac I cannot speak on it’s winter the room is fine 8: the door numbers are clear and easy to read 9: the bed we have is newer and on the firmer side but fine I am not sure what kind of people are traveling to Chicago and staying in an extremely old building and expecting something extremely updated and modern, but this hotel is decent and interesting. It’s old as hell. Calm down. Also; you should always check your hotels for bed bugs it can happen anywhere. I have stayed at 5 star hotels that have them, be diligent and cautious. I will say it has a slight odor but it was more like cleaner in a not very well ventilated room."

a week ago"Everyone I encountered was polite and helpful. I needed my orchestra ticket printed 🤷. I emailed it to the front desk and they were happy to print it. Old hotel.......so no heat controls. Minor things could be changed, like better painting. I need a fan. I called the desk and got it in less than 10 min. My toilet kept running. Maintenance was here in 5 min. But the room was very clean. Bell hop at the door. Took my bags and put them in my room. Turned on my lamps. Very nice. Walking distance to Los of attractions. Very good location. Parking is $$$ . If u park in the first one behind the hotel $65. Path in the one across the street from that other one $40. Small cheap gift shop when u come in. Nothing fancy a place to get a snack and small souvenir. Trains near."
