The Hollywood Roosevelt

"Wonderful stay here for the honeymoon! Our room was upgraded and to a king suit higher up in the tower for our celebration. The room was wonderful, and like the rest of the hotel, so tastefully designed. We had a great view of LA and the Hollywood hills. The Byredo soap was a nice touch. Everything was so safe and clean. We loved our stay and the charm of the environment."

"I went with friends to a show at the hotel. Liked the show. The singers were amazing. One woman was a mezzosoprano. The food and drink was good. The hotel doesn't take cash. It adversely impacted the amount we purchased. Also, the restaurant adds a 18% fee on top of the bill that is not the tip. Management is not kind to their staff."

"Had a very nice stay for 8 nights. The last 2 nights stayed in the Marilyn Monroe Suite. Older hotel but in good shape. The pool area is nice. Lobby bar a bit staid. Very good location. Iconic history. Only complaint was we had multiple days where we were out all day but the room never got serviced. They did correct it. Also check your bill closely there were errors."

"It would of rated higher if the staff at desk weren't liers. We requested a certain room, it was marked on reservation. I understand they never qaranty any room. 2 monthes in advance. Day before arrival room was still available per phone conversation. The day of arrival called again room still avaiable. We had another couple with us they rented same floor plan, but didn't ask for a specific room. We arrived, big party in the building. They stated our room now wasn't availabe! And given to another guest. They said they moved us up in class. But that wasn't true, same type of room, but overlooking parkinglot. Our friends were given there room next door to the one we wanted. So when I asked, why did they give up a room requested and not give an other open room like our friends that wasn't requested? They stood dumb founded, then tried the usual tactics of saying nothing was guaranteed. Which I agreed with. But when there are other open rooms why give up one that was requested. I tried to speak to the Mgr. The next day, all he would say, No Room is Guaranteed. So I then asked,so then why even have an option to request a certain room, if they don't try to accommodate those requests. Again no response that wasn't already given to many guests and in there play book, to try to make it your fault for even asking. It was a Wonderfull, Clean Hotel ,Safe, Walkable and Near many things. I suggest go accross the Street to the Upstairs Bar at the Wax museum! Good Drinks and Food."
