11 months ago"This place is fine. I was skeptical after reading other reviews and when the hotel gave us earplugs. We stayed 3 nights and noise outside wasn't bad. The room is small but fine if you're out exploring the city for the day. The furniture was worn, as others have said, but clean and functional. Bed clean and comfortable. The room had a nice sized closet, also. The hotel is in Chinatown so this area is one of the cleaner and safer areas of LA. Can walk to the metro in about 6 minutes"

6 months ago"4 stars for this motel is due to personal experience and lasting memories. It's not the greatest hole-in-the-wall place to sleep but it's definitely serviceable. I liked the complimentary ear plugs but could feel the movement of other residents grinding away their night. Regardless, the art and decor certainly adds to the historic flair. Bonus star for the above and for the free, unthrottled, fully usable wifi. Late checkout isn't always honored by the occasionally gruff and task oriented service staff. I get it, they've got a schedule to keep, my extra hour is a detriment to them, or maybe the motel clerk neglected to share that detail."
