The Whitehall Hotel

"Admittedly, this is an older hotel. However, it is clean, well kept, the beds are comfy and I can't pinpoint any shortcomings other than that the plug ins on the nightside table are actual plug ins instead of USB ports. The staff is FANTASTIC. The food is better than at most restaurants three times the price. The location is unbelievable. The service -- better than I expect at hotels many times the price. Why this place doesn't have a wait list to get in, I have no idea. Do NOT let the low price per night deter you. This place has become my Chicago GO TO, and I have stayed at 2 Marriotts, and a Hyatt. They can't touch this place."

"Very nice hotel with an affordable rate in a great location. We used spot hero for parking that was nearby but the hotel rates were pretty comparable. We were able to check in an hour early with no fees. Rooms were pleasantly spacious with a mini fridge and all the things. If any complaint the rooms could use more lights but thats very minor. The breakfast was a highlight. Eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, juice coffee etc and in a very comfortable setting with many tables to enjoy. We were able to leave bags free of charge alter check out while we walked around the city. We were very pleased and hope to return again soon!"

"Most of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even though it is an older hotel, it is kept up pretty well. Breakfast and happy hour were delicious. I asked for a souvenir black W pillow, but no one got back to me about that and I was a little bummed by that. Other than that, I truly enjoyed my stay."
