That proved to be a good rule after I called, was told there'd be room, showed up to a simple and fast process, and saw our super clean room. That all paled in comparison to everyone there. Thanks, Mr. Mike for keeping us!"

But we cracked up at his responses to some of the comments, so we had to go see if we could meet him. He honored that rate and was so friendly, and I really appreciated him. Now to the room. The rooms are dated, yes. But not in a bad way. In a time capsule way. If they redid it, I think it would lose a lot of the charm. The room is super clean. The water pressure in the shower is phenomenal, and the hot water is nice and hot. The bed is hard, but... I can live with that for one night. There were only a handful of guests, which is too bad, but it meant it was pretty quiet. I really hate that people choose the chain hotels and not the smaller ones. I mean. I get it because I sometimes do, too, but don't skip on this one. It's a very basic, budget friendly place that's good for a stop over while on a road trip. Plus, they are pretty funny. ;)"
