Western Motel Shamrock TX

"The perfect retro hotel. The website description is very accurate. We didn't expect it to be as nice as it was. Friendly, professional check in. Before we brought anything into the room we went in and lifted mattresses and thoughly checked for any evidence of B.B. not any issue there and we know what to look for. We were very pleasantly surprised that this place exceeded our expectations. Very clean , comfortable beds , great air conditioning that you can adjust as needed, hot water. We felt safe in the area. Quiet. Very well lit with retro type lighting. Enough restarants within a short walk to please even picky kids. There is a Mc Donalds as well as some highly rated other restarants all close to hotel. This place exceeded our expectations. ( and we are picky about cleanliness , comfort and safety ). Perfect place to stay on a Route 66 trip. Only tip i would recommend is to ask for a ground floor level if have issues with steps. We did and it was worth it to us to pay a few dollars more. We would 100% stay here again."

"The Western Motel in Shamrock, Texas is long-established motor lodge that is in a great location directly across the street from the U Drop Inn café and Conoco Tower Station that were inspirations for the movie Cars. The motel is a 1960’s style motor court and while somewhat dated, is clean and in the style of the decade of the 60’s. The staff is extremely cordial and went way above and beyond to make our stay as a honeymooning couple very special. We were given a room with a view that is worthy of a post card. Enough said. Very clean and family friendly…a perfect stopover along Route 66."

"We had a wonderful stay at Western Motel in Shamrock! The location is perfect — restaurants and Main Street are just a short walking distance away. The view of the iconic U-Drop Inn tower from our room was absolutely beautiful, especially at night. The room was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We also appreciate that they are pet-friendly. We will definitely be coming back whenever we visit Shamrock again. Highly recommended! 😊"

"Rooms clean quaint. Everything CLEAN QUIET and in working order. I never cared for Dish tv or whatever that is. It never works; but the WiFi 🛜 there is great. HOT 🥰water in the shower. Nice sized bathroom. Clean Crisp bed linens. Room SMELLS CLEAN and IS CLEAN. Staff so very nice and helpful. 🥰🙏 This place was godsend for a weary traveler like me."
