Wicker Park Inn

"I stayed at Wicker Park Inn with my partner for about 4 nights. The staff was amazing, so inviting and helpful! They helped us with a myriad of things while we were there. They had some of the best breakfast items I've ever had anywhere, all homemade. Pastries (scones, cakes, croissants, etc.) chia pudding, overnight oats, perfect breakfast coffee, tea, juice, milk, and cold water. The community dining area/kitchen was a great place to spend my mornings, relaxing and vibing or chatting while munching down on amazing pastries. The rooms are cute, cozy, and fairly functional. Good water pressure and nice shampoos/soaps. The only issue I had was how loud footsteps upstairs could be (we stayed in the Ellen King downstairs). They provide ear plugs -- I suggest you use them! Lastly, nothing can beat the location of Wicker Park Inn. There are so many great resturants just a couple minutes away, plus all sorts of entertainment like bars, venues, lounges, arcades, clothing/book/secondhand shops and all sorts more I wish I could have visited! I met the most amazing people everywhere in Wicker Park, thank you to everyone! I highly recommend this inn!!"

"Great location for Wicker Park and the Den Theater. Large room. We stayed in the Paulina, which is right next to the train. However, the noise didn't really bother us. Bathroom floor is heated, which was really nice for the negative degree temps outside. Nice breakfast spread and service. Only negative was the shower- didn't seem very clean and bad water pressure."

"My wife and I were able to find a room here last minute and we were very happy with our accommodations. We stayed in the Paulina. Check in was a breeze. The room was charming. The bed was comfortable. The shared lounge/kitchen area was nice bonus too. We didn't take much advantage of it, but I imagine that would be great during an extended stay. My only negative of this place is that our room was right next to the L. If you're a light sleeper it might be a bother. Luckily, we aren't."

"The Wicker Park Inn is a hidden gem. Located two minutes from the heart of Wicker Park, cute shopping, local coffee and delicious food, this home which has been renovated into a modern, stylish, boutique bed and breakfast is the perfect place to stay during a visit to Chicago. From the unique decor in every room to the complimentary breakfast, coffee, water and snacks in the shared kitchen, this Inn exceeded our expectations. There were several other thoughtful touches such as free umbrellas, a binder full of very helpful information for not only the room, but the neighborhood and the city, heated floors, 2pm check in and a lot of flexibility if you need to check out late, store your luggage, etc. A few things to note: 1. The blue line does run directly behind the house and you can hear it. That being said, it did not bother us or hinder our ability to get a good night of sleep. 2. You can hear other guests moving around. As advertised, this is an older home that is now functioning as a bed and breakfast. There are old, wooden floors that creak when people walk, and on occasion, we could hear other guests as they moved and up and down the halls. Again, this did not bother us, keep us awake, etc. 3. The staff is friendly and helpful, but they are not always available. They are often somewhere working around the Inn and you have to track them down. Once you locate them, they are lovely, but just FYI, there is not a fully staffed front desk kind of situation. All in all, we loved our time at the Wicker Park Inn. Affordable prices, lovely decor and amenities and the best location!"

"My husband and I just stayed here and loved it. The room was beautiful and quiet, even though it was on the ground floor and the train is just behind the building (there were ear plugs in the room, which is thoughtful but again, I can't imagine anyone staying in the Hoyne room needing them). Both of the folks on staff we met were welcoming and helpful. It's one block away from so many cute shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars, too. I recommend paying for overnight parking because street parking is hard to come by. Before we left, we agreed this will be our new go to when visiting Chicago in the future!"
