"There is so much to learn and experience at Baxter Springs Historical Museum. The displays are fabulous, each room depicting times gone by in detail. I love how the town is created on the lower level. The upper level is filled with such interesting artifacts, complete with donation information. The docent is friendly and knowledgable. The museum is supported by donations, so please be generous."

"Not as huge as my hometown Cleveland, OH museums for sure, but, the history at BSHC is amazing. 2 floors here and plenty to see, read and learn. The military background and events are insane as well as the mining history as well."

"We were totally amazed at the size of the Baxter Springs Heritage Center and Museum. This building is crammed full of a bit of everything that had to do with the town. The displays include clothing, uniforms, shops, mining equipment and much more, covering on three floors. Most items have nice descriptions of what is on display. A great place to learn and enjoy history."
