"Food was excellently plated, served and cooked, but some of it should have been warmer. Buffett was greatly priced. Ambiance was over the top. Please do not change it to much as it still has that wonderfully comfortable feel to it. Keep up the great work , but please pay more attention to temp on Buffett food."

"It has been YEARS since I had eaten at the Dixie Restaurant in McClean, Illinois! We decided to stop in when we passed along I-55 and the food is as good as I remember! The service was top-notch and the prices are on par with restaurants of this style. Do like me and save room for pie; I am happy I did!!"

"Food was excellent at the buffet 😋 👌🏽. Fresh, delicious, tasty homestyle cooked goodness is what you get each time you go back for another plate. Fall off the bone ribs (literally), cheesy mac (not once dry and pasty), mashed taters with creamy country gravy (not thick and clumpy "gravy" btw), NOT DRY baked chicken AND fried chicken🤯!!! Even the fried fish (walleye) was the right balance of fried crispness outside to moist tenderness inside. Other sides of rice, fresh rolls, homemade potatoe chips, popcorn shrimp, corn and more. Believe me you will go back for seconds once you've tasted any of the savory selections they have 🤤. The cooks/chefs definitely know what they're doing in that kitchen. The wait staff were very nice and attentiveness was excellent👍🏼 👏. Not just the person attending to me, but all of them out on the floor were very courteous. I'm not a local but was still treated with the same hospitality. Very much appreciated 🙏🏼. I am Definitely recommending this place to everyone. Trucker friendly as well. I'm just letting y'all know that you should bypass ALL them fast food places and stop by when you're around here."
