a month ago"Great historical spot to do some sightseeing on historic route 66. Would advise not getting gas here as it’s quite expensive, but they have a cute gift shop and staff is friendly. Outside Porta potties for use. Be sure to check out Amboy crater down the road."

9 months ago"A lot of history and an iconic stop my wife and I were excited about even though it's in the middle of nowhere. Now that Mr Okura is gone, it may struggle to stay afloat. It seems like there could be a lot of potential with the café for hungry travelers, but getting water appears to be a challenge so it's hard to say if it will ever open its doors. The motel portion will take a lot of time and money to be viable, but it would be an interesting place to stay. We hope they find a new owner with the passion and resources to bring it back to it's full potential. It appears to be a great place for car shows still."
