Spencer Station

"Driving east, down the road, on hand poured, original concrete, into Spencer Station is a must do! Wow, its all still here, just as it was when the road was first made. The Station and shops are being restored by the owner. Inside there are old photos of past owners too. Hopefully you have chance to hear about them, a little bit of history about the road being made, and plans for the future from the current owner. Very friendly and enthusiastic, he was a pleasure to meet. Oh, his gas prices are better then what you might find down the road too, but the story is, down the road the owner there has gas that is better quality...another gas station rivalry...lots of fun here...dont hesitate to ask to find out more!"

"We saw this cool roadside attraction looking for a gas station on the way from Springfield, Missouri to Wichita, Kansas. Soon this historic landmark will turn 100 years old! Originally purchased in 1926, this little old time strip mall was built up in two years. Recently, the property was bought in 2022, & is currently undergoing restoration to become a café, museum, & bed & breakfast. Be sure to stop on this original highway on Route 66, to take photos, & stay tuned..."
