"We bought tickets in advance of all.We were on a road trip. I added a lot of stress trying to make sure we got there on time. I'm not sure I would buy tickets in advance again. It was under twenty degrees when we went, so we didn't spend a lot of time outside. The museum had a ton of interactive activities and videos. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to view everything. If you're afraid of heights, this is a good challenge. It's not terrifying, but I definitely was a little shaky at the top. Especially when I had to lean over to look out the windows at the top of the arch. Staff at this national park were wonderful, and the bathrooms were very clean. I believe this is the smallest national park, but it sure packs a lot of activity into that small space."

"Visiting the Gateway Arch was a highlight of our time in St. Louis. Tickets cost approximately $15–$19 per person and include access to the tram ride to the top as well as the excellent, free museum at the base. There is an airport-style security screening before boarding, which was efficient and well managed. The tram ride itself is a unique experience, and the views from the top are impressive, offering a great perspective of the city and the Mississippi River. The museum below is modern, informative, and well laid out, making this more than just a quick photo stop. Overall, it’s a well-run attraction that takes about 1–2 hours and is absolutely worth doing."

"Visiting the Gateway Arch was an amazing experience and a true highlight of my trip. The monument itself is stunning—pictures don’t do justice to how impressive it feels when you’re standing right beneath it. The museum at the base is also well done, offering a great look at the history and engineering behind the Arch. The tram ride to the top was a unique and memorable part of the visit. It’s a bit quirky and retro, but that’s what makes it fun. The ride is smooth, and once you reach the top, the views are absolutely worth it. Seeing St. Louis and the Mississippi River from that height is something you won’t forget. The staff throughout the experience were friendly, organized, and helpful, making everything easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re into architecture, history, or just love a great view, the Gateway Arch and its tram ride are definitely worth the stop. Highly recommended!"

"The Gateway Arch is an unforgettable landmark and one of the most impressive sights in St. Louis. Seeing it up close really shows its scale and elegant design, and the surrounding grounds are clean, open, and great for walking or relaxing. The views of the Mississippi River add to the experience, and it’s an excellent spot for photos and first-time visitors. On the downside, the tram ride to the top can feel tight, tickets often sell out on busy days, and weather can affect visibility. Tip: book tickets in advance if you plan to go up, and visit early in the morning or near sunset for cooler temperatures and better light."

"The Gateway Arch was a really fun and memorable trip. Even the elevator ride up was an experience on its own and added to the excitement. Once at the top, the views of the city and the river were incredible and gave a whole new perspective of St. Louis. Being able to look out over the city from such a unique landmark was really slick and definitely made the visit worth it."
