Every time I’ve been, the case is totally stocked and everything looks amazing. I tried the ice cream donut and it was delicious! The shop is super tiny and cozy, with outdoor seating only when it’s warm out, so it’s definitely more of a to-go vibe. Overall, Firecakes perfect when you want a delicious sweet treat. One of my favorites in the city!"

Back then, my donut experience was mostly limited to Dunkin’, so I remember thinking these were incredible. Everything still looked great in the display, and I’m not sure if the lineup has changed since then, but I picked up their two popular old-fashioneds (pistachio and buttermilk). For old-fashioneds, texture is everything for me, and these were a bit too dense. Not much of that crackly bits that breaks gently and melts away once you bite into it. Maybe the other styles hit better, but if you’re specifically looking for a great old-fashioned, I’d check out other local spots instead."

The coffee is also good, but can be inconsistent. The shop itself is cute and cozy, though seating is quite limited, available outside only during summer months, especially during peak times. It's a great place for a quick treat or to enjoy an outdoor table during warmer months. While the donuts are a bit pricey, the quality is good, and the donuts are often larger than average. Overall, a solid 4-star experience and a go-to for unique and tasty donuts!"
