"Jenny’s opened up on Main Street Barstow 16 years ago and quickly became a hometown favorite! When the old Denny’s relocated across the street 5 years ago, Jenny’s moved into their old location. This offered more seating and more parking for their customers. Jenny’s is named after the owner “Jenny”. She is in-the-job cooking and serving customers everyday! Jenny’s is a family owned business and the girls of Jenny’s have been with Jenny’s every single day from the beginning. Walking into Jenny’s, the ladies recognize you instantly. You are greeted and pleasantries are exchanged, and life updates are lovingly told. If you are “New” to Jenny’s, you are greeted with a smile and the ladies are happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations. The Chili Colorado is a local favorite! There are salads, tacos, wet burritos, enchiladas, taquitos and weekly special batches of homemade Menudo and Pozoli. I am partial to the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail! It’s a large glass chalice with ample pieces of cooked shrimp, slices of fresh avocado, chopped onions, diced tomatoes, cilantro and served in a delicious tomato sauce! Saltine Crackers and fresh slices of lime on the side! Jenny’s has a bit of everything on the menu! Ample seating available for larger parties and plenty of parking including spots for disabled plated vehicles. This is a “For Sure” stop on your road trip if you consider yourself a “Foodie”. "This is not a restaurant, but some kind of magical establishment. Despite the fact that there were many visitors, our food was served very quickly. We have never been served so quickly before. As for the quality of food, that's a separate conversation. we ordered steaks and salads. they were of excellent quality. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious meal. and the waitress was incredibly friendly and guessed all my preferences and wishes. thank you very much!"
