La Catedral Cafe - New Eastside

"Wow, was I blown away. I wish I had found La Catedral earlier!! Because I will definitely be coming back. The interior design is so gorgeous, and they maintain a chill but lively atmosphere through some faint pop/latin music. Their chilaquiles are beautiful. And I appreciated that my salsa came separately so I could really see what the spice level was. The horchata was delicious, and I had downed the whole thing almost entirely by the time my food came. Only complaints would be that the physical menu doesn’t list prices (but I LOVED the artistic elements included), you have to check online for prices, and I unfortunately got cilantro when I asked for none — but I enjoyed my food nonetheless!!"

"Excellent food, service, and decor. Every worker greeted us with a warm smile and asked how we are doing. Really pleased with the friendly staff, and the food was brought out quickly and tasted excellent. Looking forward to coming here again! We recommend the pollo y mango sandwich, arroz con leche y fresas crepes, and al guajillo chilaquiles."

"Such an amazing find! First time visiting while in Downtown and it was great. The food and drinks were delicious and the service absolutely amicable and welcoming. Great prices really, for a downtown establishment. Wish I would have taken more pictures of the actual restaurant, I really liked it. Looking forward to recommending to friends and family and returning, hopefully soon."

"Come with an appetite! The food is delicious, the servings are more than filling. (Could possibly be split between two no so hungry individuals!) My group had a good cross sampling of various dishes from the menu. Be careful with the salsa chille de arbol, starts with a simmer and then as your moving through the meal it feels like it turned up the heat! Highly recommend, great healthy fresh juices with a great walkabout cup/ souvenir! (Reusable!)"

"Great food followed by great service! The atmosphere is clean and inviting! i found this place on Tik tok and i knew i had to come here to try it out, and it did NOT disappoint! Great food selections and beverages! Our waitress, Yessica was wonderful and very helpful (since it was our first time there it was great to have recommendations of food to try out!) From Nebraska to Chi-Town this place was a 10/10 and would come back in the future! I wish we had something like this back in NE!"
