"I was HIGHLY impressed with this place. Such a cute, Tulum-style restaurant within a hotel. Indoor and outdoor seating with some views of the water outside. Our waiter Ricardo was one of the nicest servers I’ve ever had. He was so attentive to us and even gave us to go coffee cups filled up before we left. Oat milk with the coffee was heated, which I had never seen before! One of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever had as well."

"We had an absolutely amazing experience at Marelle! The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for dinner, and our server was the sweetest. Service overall was stellar and very accommodating. We were there to celebrate a few birthdays, and the restaurant surprised us with some prosecco and cake! We ordered dinner and a few cocktails, and everything was just amazing. Would happily return to Marelle for another intimate and delicious meal! Highly recommend!"

"In Santa Monica, on Ocean Ave just a block south of the pier, is the Sandbourne Hotel. It’s a swanky, oceanfront hotel with great views of the Pacific. Marelle is in the lower level, and has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area overlooks the pool, but you can also see the ocean. There are heaters to keep you warm. The theme of the food is California and fresh. We enjoyed the most beautiful hummus plate, a Caesar salad, we each had a fish - Salmon and a white fish, and the mac and cheese (made with bechamel!). There’s a full bar and cocktails. It wasn’t very crowded for 8pm on Saturday in July, but there were lots of expensive cars, and a retirement party was going on nearby. If you want a healthy place with ocean views in Santa Monica, this is a great choice. There were couples and friends getting together, but I didn’t see kids or families."

"We recently visited Marelle on Sunday during the holiday weekend. I had a special request as it was my girlfriend’s birthday brunch and they delivered. We had a really good table plus the lighting outside was impeccable that day. The food was amazing and drinks were amazing. Very spacious, service was good, and they validate parking, but they only take off $10 so you still pay $10 for parking at valet. Other than that, would return again!"

"Beautiful ocean-view brunch spot, perfect for photos and a girls’ day out. Located in the hotel with a great atmosphere. Tacos and tortadas were tasty, and the shell-shaped cocktail was super cute. Would definitely come back."
