Needles Smashed Burgers

"Needles Smash Burger My wife ordered a cheese burger that was so big that she had to take off half the bun to finish it. I got their SMASH BURGER which was basically a double cheese burger inside of a grilled cheese sandwich. I ate about half of it and we took the other half back to our rental condo and there was enough for our dinner. The fries were pre-frozen, but served hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cook made the red and white sauces fresh each day. Spicy but mild enough to taste good and still be able to taste what you were eating. The restaurant was very clean and bright. Inside and outside seating. Our waitress, Amber, was a delight and very attentive. Reminded me of a young Dollie Parton."

"This bad boy is a hangover cure disguised as a burger and is loaded, messy, flavorful, and unapologetically delicious. Tallow fries!? Incredible! Perfect crisp and soft inside. If you’re on the 40 passing by or in Needles and craving something that’ll knock your socks off track this joint down. Tons of burger options for everyone from cheesy to PB&J. Outrageous!! Also hats off to the customer service, entire crew Sunday January the 11th was like meeting with long time buddies! Perfect combo of food and fun atmosphere."

"We stopped here for the first time as we passed through Needles—my son-in-law talked us into it. It’s in a little shopping center right next to a busy dispensary, which threw me off for a second, but wow… the food here totally turned things around! Oh my goodness, what a great find! My husband ordered me the Western Smash with fries and a drink, and it was absolutely delicious. WOW—so yummy!! It was honestly one of the best smashburgers I’ve ever had, and to my surprise, the prices were very reasonable too. The fries with ranch were also pretty good! We ordered everything to go so we could keep moving on our journey, and even then—it was still amazing. I really didn’t expect to be writing a review—so I didn’t take any pictures! But the food was unexpectedly so good that I felt like I had to. We’ll definitely be coming back again!"

"Jan 2026 We stopped in Needles to get some lunch. The first restaurant we saw after getting off highway was jammed. Next we ran across Smashed burger. Excellent burgers and quick food. Driveway is easy to miss, we had to turn around after overshooting it in the rain. Woth the effort."

"Road trippin' back from Santa Fe, NM to home in LA, we stopped by Needles Smashed Burger for much needed comfort food and to stretch our legs. Service was excellent and the burgers were fabulous. Tucked in a corner, not really out of the way but not central to the off-ramp, it was worth the stop. The place was clean, food was great, and the grilled cheese by daughter ordered, with the polite warning, was HUGE. She couldn't finish it, but kept it for lunch and dinner the next day. My only complaint was the background music choice wasn't my style, but it wasn't intolerable. Well worth the stop if you're in the area. Good luck smashed burger gang."
