Original Roadhouse Grill

"My go-to favorites: Texas egg-rolls for appetizer…(cream cheese, hint of jalapeño, a sweet jalapeño jelly-type dip). Not very spicy but just enough of a kick to get the jalapeño flavor, but overall crispy cream cheesy-deliciousness. The Sesame Garlic Filet Mignon…melts in your mouth (I order medium), delicious sauce- very savory, buttery, garlicky. House salad with their creamy lemon-dill dressing and their loaded sweet potato (HUGE perfectly baked sweet potato, with cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter) are my usual sides. Hubby ordered a burger and enjoyed it. He usually gets the ribs or the sampler platter and has always liked everything. They have a great selection of drinks and different types of lemonades, and the drinks have always been strong (in a good way!) every time we’ve gone. That “other” roadhouse not too far down the freeway is always crowded, and although I don’t have specific negatives about that place, I do enjoy the more laid-back and less noisy/chaotic atmosphere of Original Roadhouse and I’ve found my magic tasty go-tos :)"

"The Original Roadhouse is an absolute bomb of a place. Let's start with the food. The Fillet Mignon was absolute fire. From being cooked to perfection to being drowned in garlic butter, this is one of my favorite steak dishes in the High Desert compared to Texas Roadhouse and Outback. The sides were pretty good too, with the sweet potato fries being cooked perfectly. However, there was a little bit too much salt on the fries. The coleslaw was alright and definitely added to the meal. The cream cheese and jalapeno egg rolls on the other hand were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is pretty good depending on the time of day. During the day, it is quiet and a bit empty but towards the evening, it will start filling up and on occasion, there will be a live band playing. Our server was absolutely kind and was always checking on us to see if we needed assistance and how we're doing. The one downside is the price, but the quality of food you get, it is a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend this place for great steak and grill."

"We ordered a burger, steak, ribs, and tri tip. Every dish was very well put together except the tri tip. Meat was kinda tough. The side dishes were good except the Mac and cheese. My all American cheeseburger was delicious and my son loved his full rack of ribs as he's the reason we came back here again. He really loves the ribs here 😁 . Sirloin steak was very juicy and tender. Drinks were refilled. Overall a pleasant experience. We will possibly be back again."
