"Went to Sweet Em’s and let me tell y’all… 10/10 experience 🤍☕️ The drink was REALLY good, and the vibes were everything. I went in on the perfect day because it was kindness day and my drink was free. I ordered the iced nutcracker winter drink and it was delicious."

"This place continues to impress me each time I stop in. When people talk about the best ice cream in STL, names like Clementine’s and Jeni’s typically come up. Sweet Em’s is 100% a hidden gem that belongs at the top with these other ice cream places. Sweet Em’s is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall with a pretty small selection of different flavors of ice cream. But don’t let this fool you: Sweet Em’s is home to some truly sweet ice cream. The first time I stopped in, I had a s’mores ice cream cone and it was legitimately one of the best ice cream cones I’ve ever had. The second time, I got their blueberry waffle cone ice cream cup and a ShakeShot with the Pirate’s Bounty ice cream (both pictured below). Both of these treats I had were excellent, and if you love coffee and sweets like me, I think the ShakeShot is a great choice at Sweet Em’s. S’mores ice cream cone > blueberry waffle cone > ShakeShot w/ Pirates Bounty > cookie sandwich with Zanibar Dark Chocolate"

"A nice hidden gem of a ice cream shop. Its small quaint and homey neighborhood location. With very friendly employees and a down to earth old fashioned decor. It's also very pet friendly with treats and items for the doggy lovers out there. The ice cream selection isn't that expansive but for what they have, is all quite good and homemade. Portion sizes are also quite big. As I had gotten a sundae with a generous topping of whip cream, nuts and ice cream. Prices for shakes and ice are extremely cheap for specialty ice cream. With scoops only being $4 and Shakes at $7. You won't find that pricing in many places. They also have quite an amazing selection of coffees I need to try next time. The decor itself is small with about 6 to 8 seats. It wasn't particularly bust when I went on Sunday so service was pretty prompt. They are happy to let you try the flavors to see whatever you'd like. Street parking is quite plentiful and free so that's not an issue. If you are handicapped, there is a 2 step stoop in front but I'm pretty sure they will be accommodating in assisting you. There is also a points system that seems fairly generous for regulars."

"We were looking for a coffee shop that stayed open late and this was one of the few that did (that's not a chain). The small shop only had a few tables and a high counter facing window however it was very charming. The best part was the bubbly young lady behind the counter. She has a big smile and friendly words for everyone who came into the shop. I ordered a zucchini chocolate chip scone and was a little unsure what I was in for. It was very pleasant. Not overly sweet and very soft. I also ordered an herbal tea. My friend was pleasantly surprised that they offered ice cream so that's what he got. Several people wandered into the shop and asked how long they had been there. To my surprise they said about 6 years. Check it out if you're in Dogtown and are needing a little boost."
