The Barn

The Barn closes at 1:30 daily and you can have both breakfast and lunch from open to close. This place is very charming. This is an older “barn” but it’s such a cute atmosphere and there’s tons of seating and decor. The service was excellent — we didn’t have a singular server but everyone who checked on us/took our order was extremely friendly & helpful. The food was really good. I got a Half & Half (with an Egg Salad BLT Sandwich & a cup of Loaded Potato Soup). It was delicious. Whoever thought of an Egg Salad BLT deserves a medal. My Mom loved her Half & Half as well, she got a delicious Chicken Salad Sandwich and a Harvest Sandwich. We ended with a slice of Coconut Cream Pie which was beyond delicious. 10/10 atmosphere, service and food. We will be back."

The Mimosa menu is a dream and has options for everyone! Eggs Benedict’s are always a treat. But the rotating specials of avocado toast, French toast, and quiche are always a standout pick! Kristin, Jax, and Niki are the best servers around the St. Louis breakfast/lunch seen!"

I tried everything on the table and loved every bite! Well prepared and presented. Seemingly high quality ingredients and super tasty! If the entire menu is as good as all the items we tried I would recommend everything. Will definitely be back on a future visit. The only issue is that the music inside was loud which, combined with a full house, also speaking loudly, made it difficult out to hear."

I upgraded the service review. Service was very satisfactory and staff were courteous and helpful. We had a ticket issue that took some time to work out but all is really good there. Atmosphere is downgraded however. When you enter it is tight quarters. People coming and going prevents assembly of guests and free flow of movement. Particularly if staff and customer orders are flowing to outdoor seating. We were seated at an outdoor table next to their outdoor busing station. This location is a bit noisy but amenable. However while waiting for our wait staff to make initial contact - which was only a few minutes - given how busy the facility was; I had two incidents where waste paper and used napkins from tableware being bussed and carried to the busing station blown onto me. Staff did apologize but this is not helpful with the dining experience. I asked one of the staff members to re-seat us to a newly opened table to get away from the busing station. One staff member left his duties two times to move his motorcycle. The second time he moved it into the yard next to the restaurant and had to start it to get it to it's final location. Other than that the food here is worth the visit and pricing is good. ---- 2018 - The food is really good. They had interesting breakfast specials but I elected to go with traditional bacon eggs and toast with a side of grits. Grits are not homemade by the cook is good at making them appear and taste like they are. The food was very good. I am thinking however that I should have gone for the breakfast special. What I saw was amazing looking."
