"What a great find! The owner is stellar and I really enjoyed chatting with her. Coffee was smooth and flavorful. Her baked goods were amazing. Could not resist a freshly baked blueberry turnover on a chilly morning. Also, the biscotti was top notch, not dense and impossible to eat like others I've had. Apparently there is Filipino food lunch daily and I am so sad I wasn't there for that because it looked amazing. Wish I lived closer. I've travelled all over the country, literally every state. This place is in my top ten. Atmosphere: quiet, clean, and fireplace going."

"Stumbled upon the Commodore House in a 20° chill to get a hot cup of coffee and chai while passing through Seligman, and man, it's refreshing to see a spot like this pop up in a town that's been feeling a bit forgotten along old Route 66..which, by the way, Seligman is famously known as the Birthplace of Historic Route 66 after sparking its revival and preservation as a national landmark back in the '80s These folks are so down-to-earth, pouring their heart into building something real in what could easily be called a dying area..props to anyone with the guts to make that happen. I'd love to see more American businesses like this sprouting up across the country: small, authentic operations run by everyday people who aren't afraid to invest in their craft and in overlooked spots, keeping that classic entrepreneurial spirit alive instead of letting chains take over everything. Places that feel genuinely rooted in their community, blending coffee, resale vibes, and a touch of local flavor without trying to be flashy. We showed up during a power outage, but they didn't skip a beat: served us with whatever they could whip up on the fly, all with genuine smiles and that small-town warmth. That resilience turned what could've been a bummer into a highlight, way beyond the cozy, unique vibe of the place itself—an old house turned into a charming coffee shop and resale spot with vintage finds scattered around. And speaking of vibes, Seligman totally channels that quirky charm from the Pixar movie Cars—it's one of the real-life inspirations for Radiator Springs, with its Route 66 nostalgia drawing in folks hunting for those historic roots and photo ops along the Mother Road of America They keep it simple with locally roasted coffee that's spot-on, fresh homemade pastries that hit the spot, and some solid Filipino dishes for lunch if you're hungry. Not a ton of options here—don't expect a full deli or massive menu—but what they do offer feels thoughtful and authentic. If you're road-tripping through for the Route 66 history or just chasing that Cars magic, this is a must-stop to support the little guys keeping America interesting. Definitely worth the detour!"
