"Special Thanks to Sandra...the waitress at the Derby room this past Sunday. Even though The Derby Room was extremely short staffed and packed to the gills with 49er fans, she was still able to get the order out hot and fresh and still smiling. Even overwhelmed by the amount of order...she still did a great job. I will definitely be back and hopefully Sandra will be our waitress again."

"New ownership. Cleaner inside and out. Less selection of food, but nice portions well prepared. If your not happy the servers will make it to suit you. Bartenders are very personable but could use a little better vision of customers trying to get beverages ,behind seating patrons. This is a very large facility for the purpose of watching and wagering on horses. The huge outdoor patio for smokers is nice too. This is a great spot to watch sporting events ie; live boxing. Pro events college games. But primarily for horse wagering. The regular patrons are friendly and seem to have a good time, unless they loose. I really enjoy this spot. Just to come for lunch or weekend stop to people watch and not even wager. Don't forget this is the only place ( all otb locations ) where you can make a 10cent wager n make big money. Don't forget its called gambling..not winning or losing. Go and have a great experience."

"The food can use some improvement it is flavorless and theres just not enough of it for the price. The staff is friendly but they are over extended so their service is just not that great getting refills takes a very long time. The place is clean and well maintained, the parking lot is a bit uneven so its easy to trip"
