Now let me tell you, Ben is the definition of raised right, properly educated, and all around a good person. The first time he was fun, incredibly professional and his politeness and tact were something you don’t see these days. The second time, he livened up more since we had been there, made it fun, got us all laughing. His professionalism is something you’d find at a Michelin star restaurant, but without being stiff and robotic as some of those could be. He’s young and so well educated on the food and wine being served we were both blown away. This kid is going places, and I don’t mean that lightly. I really hope the staff will see this and reward him somehow because I personally haven’t had service like this ever, and I travel a ton for work all over the planet and treat myself in a lot of cities to good food. Onto the food. Really there isn’t any other word other than perfection. The Chef at Tinderbox you can really see takes utmost pride in his work. This second time we went (November 23, 2023) we opted for the full chefs selection with the wine pairing. This was the absolute best decision we could have made. The first time we loved what we got but this took it to a whole other level. Every course was perfect, the perfect amount, the plating was beautiful and the flavors so well balanced with each wine pairing. The filet, the scallops and the trout were cooked to absolute perfection. Seriously props and huge compliments to Chef, thank you for an incredible meal! When we first walked in the hostess was grateful enough to mention there was a 10 party table that would be joining next to us in 2 hours hinting it could get a little rowdy, we thought, oh we’ll be out of here by then. We had such a great time, just chatting, enjoying each wine, each course, we ended up being there 3.5 hours. Everyone on the staff there was so great! I will absolutely be back, I can’t say enough good things about this place and will make sure we end up with Ben again! Thanks again!"

Our server was very attentive and made us feel like royalty. They even gave us a congratulatory card that the whole team signed! I can’t wait to visit again to try other food on the menu!"

Menu is compact with lots of unique touches and quality ingredients. Enjoyed sharing appetizers to mix up the flavors, and found the mussels to be really unique w their flavor profiles, super savory w the right amount of heat. Pasta was fabulous too. Reservations recommended for sure, and u may have to hunt for a place to park, but definitely worth it. Only dish I wouldn’t order again was their take on cheese cake…it was tasty, but a little more like a butter cake and I personally prefer a creamier more traditional style."

The guajillo shrimp was delicious, but difficult to eat because the glass dish was very small and there was not enough room to neatly remove the shrimp tails. Second, the special holiday menu was difficult to read in the dark room with small orange text on a blue background. Everything else was great. Thank you for the celebratory glass of champagne."
