"Drinks are expensive but happy hour food is amazing. I don't know what happen d with the people that said their oysters had grit. Ours were fresh and delicious and grit free. The steak tartare was a delicious twist. The Brussels and fries were great as was the Coq au vin. We really enjoyed this meal even though the price was high. We had 2 drinks each and with our food it was just over $200."

Overall, the food quality stood out more than anything else. Service and atmosphere were what you’d expect for a downtown Chicago brasserie — polished and comfortable. Not really my type of set up though..."

"Beautiful elegant atmosphere, we went here for dinner and enjoyed the oyster happy hour. They were fresh and delicious. The baked brie was a highlight. We also tried the escargot. Service was good. Overall, really gorgeous spot for a dinner."

"The atmosphere is great. The service at dinner was excellent but at breakfast it was almost non-existent in the cafe. The French onion soup is super cheesy although on the salty side. Pancakes don't come with maple syrup. Mussels, baked brie, and filet mignon were delicious. A bit overpriced but the happy hour deals are good and you can use up Amex FHR credits if you're staying at the Pendry."
