6 months ago"I have nothing but good things to say about Mercy Walk In. I've been coming to Mercy for 10+ years. When coming to the walk-in, I am fully aware that there may be an extended wait time. Could I go to Waynesville to Phelps walk-in? Sure. But I am okay with the wait for the level of care I will receive. If you aren't, then go to another clinic to be seen. It's quite simple. If everyone didn't use the the walk-in as their primary care doctor/work note dealer, then the waits wouldn't be as long. I am dumbfounded with how many reviews state they came and the walk-in closed earlier than their posted hours. They aren't a retail store. They CLOSE/LEAVE at 6. Not the last patient put on the schedule at 6! They have appointment times for each patient and those appointment spots fill fast. If they continued to accept patients until the exact close time, they would be there until after 9pm. They have families to go home to. Providers are human too. They can get sick or have medical/family emergencies that could cause early closure. I recently watched a man throw a fit in the waiting room because he wanted a work note to miss work, and he was told the walk-in closed due to the provider having a medical emergency. Have some grace for those helping the community."
