"I visited this Mercantile in September of 2021 and I’ve gotta say, I think of it quite often. As I’m in Joshua Tree currently, I’m using my Traveler’s Notebook I purchased there. That along with some other items taught me to live more organically these past few years. I wanted to express my gratitude for the opportunity to experience these high quality items as well as them benefiting an intentional life. Thank you"

"10/10 experience. Steve is amazing — knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His sense of style and attention to detail made the whole experience feel personal and easy. The shop itself has an incredible selection of well-made, timeless pieces that are built to last a lifetime. You can tell everything in the store has been chosen with care and intention. Highly recommend stopping in if you value quality, craftsmanship, and great conversation."

"Nothing quite like it, everything in there is selected with love and purpose by Steve, who knows exactly where the article of clothing you have chosen came from and will tell you what makes it unique. It’s like a candy store for guys with good taste and a love of quality and history"

"Owner was super kind and helpful. Really honest about what would work and what not. They have a nice selection of affordable shirts and everyday wear, but also sone classic piecea like Filson's waxed cruiser jacket. Ended up buying a nice pendleton flannel shirt for winter."

"The customer service is BEYOND! Steve is an absolute salt-of-the earth person who helped me get the right fit as a gift for my husband. He made my shopping experience feel like family, and I left thinking "should I send him a Christmas card??" Do yourself a favor and support this incredible, small business. Also, the store is well stocked with interesting brands that you won't find in many places. Thank you so much, Steve!"
