Cumberland Road Rest Area and Welcome Center

"Very nice and cozy rest area with plenty of parking for both trucks and cars. The grounds are clean and well maintained. There is a historic Pony Express bridge on display here, moved as an exhibit, which adds a special touch. Lots of picnic tables, both under shelters and in the open air. Inside the welcome center you’ll find clean restrooms and information brochures. The whole place feels tidy and welcoming, making it a great stop for drivers to take a break and relax."

"Beautifully maintained rest area and the staff are top notch! Needed help getting a water jug filled and Billy and a female attendant (I didnt get her name! Sorry!) were very quick to help out. The Pony Truss bridge is a little piece of history and you can actually walk on it! Thank you for all that you do, so that there are amazing places such as this to take a rest from the road. ♡"

"This is a great rest stop. Plenty of parking for cars and trailers. Very spacious area if you need to walk your dog. Nice little pavilions, picnic tables, and a fun little bridge. Very glad I stopped here"

"Staffed visitor information center. Playground for the kiddies, picnic tables, and green area to stretch those legs. Also convenient emergency booths located around the rest area for additional safety. Loved the gentleman who helped us at the visitor center he was helpful and so happy you couldn’t help but smile."
