Gateway Rest Area Westbound

"We stopped here to stretch our legs and use the restroom on our way to St. Louis. The bathrooms were impressively clean, and there were plenty of trash cans throughout the area. It was peaceful and relaxing to take a walk. Lots of greenery and open space. They even have a dog park, which is a great bonus for travelers with pets. Overall, this was a really nice and well maintained rest stop!"

"Very beautiful place a lot of trees a lot of sitting areas picnics a very large capacity for trucks and small cars very clean. Do you need six vending machine and a Lotta ground squirrels they’re very friendly and I posted some pictures for you guys and video so you can see how friend they are really nice place to spend the night. Stay safe."

"Clean rest stop. It has amenities such as snack machines but half of them had “Out of order” signs. The building could use a refresh. It has a walking path behind the building that is really nice, but overgrown."

"The Gateway rest area is a beautiful location with gorgeous mature trees, open lawn area and beautiful picnic locations. Snacks are available. Facility some selves or house in a beautiful building… Unfortunately, some of the bathroom facilities are in older and not functional conditions at this visit but a place to take a rest. This is perfect."
