Guadalupe County Safety Rest Area Eastbound

"What a beautiful treasure to have right off the interstate to be able to pull in, rest refresh and even have a family picnic even though it seems to be a thing of the past. They've got an awesome playground and pavilions and plenty of paths to walk and get the blood flowing! Great job Texas!!!"

"Great rest area. Always clean and well maintained. Ample parking for cars and trucks. Always feels safe and secured and it holds kids playground, walking trail, sitting/smoking areas and even picnic tables. Great place to stop for a rest and stretch your legs between San Antonio and Houston."

"I almost never write reviews, especially not about rest stops, but I’ve been traveling across the country and have probably stopped at close to 20 rest stops, and this one is by far the very best. It is really clean and so peaceful. They have an entire park and museum separating you from the highway, so it’s quiet, and there’s a whole nature trail and play area. It’s so freaking nice, I might just stay here again tonight just because I know I’ll have a great sleep."
