Hardeman County Safety Rest Area - Southbound

"This rest stop was so great! Lots of lighting in the parking lot, picnic tables and benches, mowed grass, just beautiful. The bathrooms are big, nice, and clean. The air conditioning was wonderful, and there was someone on site making sure the rest stop was taken care of. Unfortunately the playground was locked up, but it was pretty hot and we wouldn’t have played on it anyway. We’ll definitely remember this rest stop whenever we road trip again!"

"It was a timely and convenient stop on a long drive from Pampa Texas to Dallas Texas. The rest area was layed out well and while I was there early, seemed to have a help desk right inside. There were interactive displays inside for attractions and weather information. Two sets of restrooms and vending machines topped out the features."

"Seriously the nicest rest stop I've ever seen! Ample truck and car parking. Gorgeous restrooms with texas pride throughout. Clean. Atrium has travel info and texas info. Nice views. A large playground. The restrooms were just fun to look at because of the decor. Large changing table. Love the sink and wish all rest stops had sinks like that!!! Plus a tornado shelter!!"

"Another nice little Texas. Except for this place had a lot of warnings about rattlesnakes LOL. Again full of historical markers and information and nice little air conditioned spot you can rest if you need to cool down a little bit and buy some snacks and drinks as well. This place has a lot of little antique as well very interesting and fun to check out."
