Hill County Northbound Safety Rest Area

"Pretty solid rest area stop. Lots of parking — didn’t have to circle like a vulture. The buildings have a cool design, and there are some interesting little exhibits inside that actually make it feel more than just a pit stop. Plenty of restrooms, even looked like there were multiple restroom buildings. Now, cleanliness? Not the best I’ve seen — but hey, it’s a rest area, not a five-star spa. Overall, a great place to stretch your legs, reset your brain, and hit the road again. Mission accomplished."

"I recently stopped at the Hill County Safety Rest Area while traveling on 35, and it was a great place to take a break. The area was clean, well-lit, and had a strong focus on safety, which was reassuring for travelers, especially at night. The restrooms were well-maintained and stocked, and there were plenty of picnic tables and shaded areas to relax. There was also useful information about road conditions and safety tips, which I found helpful. Security presence and lighting made the stop feel safe, though adding more food or drink options would be a great improvement. Overall, a reliable and comfortable rest area for anyone passing through"
