"I had the opportunity and privilege to travel from Uruguay to visit Nauvoo and other historic sites with my wife. I cannot put into words my feelings about this place. My perspective has completely changed after seeing the beautiful city the Pioneers left behind and gaining a much deeper appreciation for their sacrifice. It is a very special place, and the service missionaries make it feel that way, even speaking your own language whenever possible. There is a very special spirit there. It was a short visit, and I hope next time to stay at least two days to enjoy it more."

"In August 2025, we visited the Historic Nauvoo North Visitor's Center in Nauvoo, Illinois. We were in Nauvoo to see the Nauvoo Pageant, a theatrical performance that starts at 8:30 pm for a 3 week run during the Summer. Like all of the other exhibits in Nauvoo, the Historic Nauvoo North Visitor's Center does not cost anything. The displays and exhibits are cleverly arranged and they give a detailed account of Nauvoo's history. The building is clean and well-maintained, and the surrounding landscsping is beautiful. The Historic Nauvoo North Visitor's Center is is a highly enjoyable and memorable experience."

"My family loves traveling to historic Nauvoo and experiencing how early settlers lived. Even now as young adults, they participate in the activities at the family center. Grandma enjoyed the carriage rides and learning how to make rugs from scrap material. This year we were able to see the pageant. It's just a beautiful place."

"Nice facility, clean bathrooms, and a area that has some models and history of the Church of Latter-day Saints. We are not Mormon, so we were not interested in doing the deep dive into more information, but it is there if you want to learn more. The grounds of the original settlement are beautiful and very well maintained."
