Joshua Tree Visitor Center

"Joshua Tree visitor Center is a great place to start your visit! Know before you go exploring. Staff is very friendly. Great place to visit, hiking is abundant, it is family friendly, Joshua Tree is known for its rock climbing, enjoy and be prepared. Hiking shoes prefered foot wear. Bring plenty of water, snacks, hat, sunscreen. It is the desert. We visited in early February, during the week, it was not too busy, desert scenery is beautiful."

"The visitors center for Joshua Tree is located in the town of Joshua Tree. The parking lot is behind the building and can get pretty busy, even on a Thursday morning in December. The visitors center has a small area with information along with rangers present to answer questions, along with a gift shop with the usual souvenirs available to purchase. I got a magnet and token for the park."

"Great place to get the rundown on the trails and other sites in Joshua tree. Theres a little museum with information and a gift shop that sells cute little Knick knacks. Parking is in the back, bathrooms are outside. Chris was nice with the information he provided us."

"We loved visiting the park, though we picked an extremely hot day! Luckily, you can easily drive through and stop at the key viewpoints. Just be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen—it’s easy to get dehydrated. There are also several short hikes around a mile long if you’re up for a walk!"
