"This is a very nice, clean rest area and welcome center. The women's restroom was very clean. If you walk past the restrooms, you'll probably hear running water. Keep walking, and you'll find a pineapple fountain in a courtyard. It's very tranquil. Around the courtyard, you'll find shaded areas for sitting and relaxing. There are also shaded picnic tables around the rest area if you want a nice place to cook and/or eat a meal. In addition to regular parking spaces for regular vehicles, there are also long spaces for RVs and vehicles pulling trailers. If you are traveling with a dog, like I was, there's plenty of space to walk that dog. There are even a couple of dog park-like enclosures. My dog got to go off leash! There are also plenty of dog waste bags provided, so please clean up after your doggie friend. The tourist information/welcome center was open when I visited. I went inside and picked up some tourist information. There was a nice lady working at the tourist information desk, and she asked me to sign the guest book, so I did. This whole place is really nice, and I would not hesitate to spend the night here."

"Dont usually stop at rest areas. The Southwest architecture of the buildings caught my eye. Totally awesome place. Fountain right smack in middle of building offset with separated picnic tables. What a neat place."

"Easy off/on from I-10, very clean restrooms, peaceful, a bit of a scenic view of the New Mexico desert. Very nice little shop, information center, and picnic areas with tables, no grills. Lovely little grassy area with garden fountain. Clean drinking water fountains. Place to fill your water jugs, which is really important when traveling in the desert!!! Historical markers to give you a bit of knowledge of the area. Map of nearby places. Area to let your pet relieve themselves too."

"This is always a welcome sight. New Mexico does a great job keeping this rest area open and clean. They are very well laid out even have area that RV can dump. If you are going through suggest you save this spot for a stop and have your lunch as you view the beautiful scenery."

"This is a great rest stop to use the restroom and get information. A gas station is next to the welcome center, too, making this stop very convenient."
