Love's Travel Stop

"Husband and I are on the road again, this time we are at Love’s in Guthrie, Oklahoma. As part of our Ministry Adventures, we made a quick stop to fuel up and pick up a few essentials for the road. Gas was $2.39 a gallon, which helped keep our travel budget on track. We were in and out smoothly as we grabbed gas, salads, Splenda, and napkins. The store was clean and easy to navigate, and everything we needed was quickly available. Another simple and helpful stop added to our #MinistryAdventures as we continue heading toward our next destination. Blessings on your journeys!"

"I've stopped at many loves over the years as a trucker and this Loves by far was my favorite experience. It was the day after the big snow storm. I walked in and not a soul was to be found, besides a young lady on the convenience store side. The store was pretty dead and no one was on the trucker side when I walked in. I stood there for a good 5 minuets thinking surely they are open. I walked over to the store side and young lady was keeping busy cleaning out drawers under the coffee machines. I told her I was sorry to bother her but I needed my receipt on the diesel pump I had just pumped on. She had no problem stopping what she was doing to assist me. We began talking and I asked her if she was from Louisiana because of her accent. Surely enough she was! I told her that I was born down there and we just started talking about the culture, food, and how friendly everyone is down there. You don't find that kind of hospitality often in Oklahoma. We talked for a good 20 minutes and the whole experience made me feel like I was back home. I forgot I was even standing inside of a gas station at that point. She didn't treat me like I was a customer, she treated me like a long lost friend that she was catching up with after years. Those are the kind of interactions that we look for as a truckers when stopping after a long travel. It truly was one of the best Loves experiences. I forgot her name sadly, but I will make it my mission to stop by here again on my way back down just to say hi to her if she is there! Such a lovely soul that I will never forget!"

"It's actually a pretty good stop. Lots of selection, everything seems to be in pretty good shape and the place appeared to be pretty clean. The restrooms were being cleaned at the time that I was there and looked to be in very good shape too. What a plus! Still just an interstate convenience store but clean is always nice."
