"I was one of the military guards here 16 years ago and times have changed. The old building we were at doesn't appear to exist anymore and this nice visitor center is in its place. It was air conditioned and had bulletproof glass between the people visiting and the personnel working there. I had one lower grade military guy there and two civilians checking people in. When I was stationed there people visiting the base would have to bring in their ID their point of contact and their vehicle information including registration and insurance. All I needed was my ID and the person I was visiting on base."
