The Texas Star photo opportunity is perfect for capturing a memorable shot, and the walking deck in the back is lined with informative historical markers, offering a small but interesting educational experience. The area is well-maintained, and the restrooms were clean and tidy, which always makes a difference when traveling. Overall, it’s a convenient, low-effort stop that combines a little history, a nice view, and practical amenities—definitely worth a short visit if you’re passing through."

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about local attractions, routes, and things to see along the way. They provided helpful maps, brochures, and recommendations that made planning easier and helped us discover places we might have otherwise missed. The center itself was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. If you’re visiting Texas or passing through on a road trip, this is a great place to stop for information, ideas, and a warm Texas welcome."

We also saw two rabbets and a bunch of birds. Very clean rest rooms. Great staff in the visitors center. So much information can be found here. Well worth a stop and walk around."
