White Rock Visitor Center

I'm so glad I stopped! I talked to one person who had lived in the area their entire life and was able to give me very useful local information and steered me in a direction I wanted to go but that was not originally a priority, and I am so grateful I took their advice because their suggestion of visiting the Overlook Park area was absolutely worth it. They also gave me some printed maps for when I am without cell service on the dirt roads I tend to randomly find myself on; while the maps aren't quite that granular it's still a way to gain orientation."

Mary and Logan were very helpful and gave us some great ways to spend our time without all the national parks we were hoping to visit (closed due to gov't shutdown). Logan was especially helpful with his vast knowledge of all areas of New Mexico! He literally helped us map our next few days and even provided restaurant suggestions and scenic stops not to miss. We came in sad with no plans and left happy with lots of options to spend our time in the area. The center is also gorgeous with lots of pamphlets, info, bathrooms, water filling station, and EV charging! Don't miss it."

FYI there is not a lot of parking at Bandelier, so they run a shuttle. If you’re looking for great things to see and do in the area… Check it out. Tons of brochures and maps. It’s spotless clean plus they have RV parking. Want to know if they have RV spots available?Just call. They say they’ll look out the window and tell you! (I mean these people are super nice.) Oh… and the Pig and the Fig is a restaurant across the street — it’s awesome. Check it out. #LandOfEnchantment #NewMexico #WhiteRock #LosAlamos #Banderlier #PigAndTheFig #RV"

There are two of the six over-sized San Ildefonso Pottery sculptures on site. The other four are placed along the same road fairly close by. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restroom was clean and attractive. There is plenty of room for RV parking."

It’s a bummer that there isn’t either full hookups or 24-hour restroom (either/or would be so helpful!), but we have LOVED how conveniently located this spot is to so many things to see and do. We were stressed out about whether we’d be able to score a spot since it’s FCFS and there are no other RV parks in the area, but there has been plenty of availability for the 10 days that we’ve been here. Water and dump station is located at the end of the parking lot, and you self-pay for each night’s stay up at the kiosk. We will definitely be coming back!"
